Washer thumps and stops right after moving wet cloths. Balance?

The machine worked perfectly until a few days ago. Then right after switching on and filling the drum with water it started wildly shaking and thumping. It shut itself down immediately. The machine was still capable for an empty run. Then starting again the cycle the drive belt flied off the engine. It is easy to refit the belt, but how could I balance the drum? Could be that the drum had not enough water in it, but I have no idea how I could fix that.

FAV6800AWW won't spin without going out of balance

Each of the legs supporting the washer need to be adjusted and the washer leveled. You will need a Level with bubble indicators to see the exact position of the liquid within & it is in the center of the glass container. Level front to back and side to side. When done the washer should be level at all 4 sides and it will not move around and cause the level indicators to trip any switches.

Washer shakes violently!

Do you not know that unbalanced dry clotrhes become super unbalanced wet clothes! If you put too little clothing in the front loader, the weight will be in one place on the high speed turning drum. If you put in too much, the load will shift to a few locations but still be out of balance. Rather than "dance" the Chubby Checker way with your machine, try stopping it when it does "the dance" and redistribute the clothing around the drum!

Loud thumping noise when spinning. poorly rinsed

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Start off by checking the machine's balance to ensure effective spinning.
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)
Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal suspension is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

\\\my washer flashes a F 21 and doesn't open. I washed my son's comforter the other day and the machine stopped and flashed a F 21 and would not open. when I finally kept pushing the unlock button a...

Your blanket probably caused an out of balance on the tub which caused the washer to stop in the middle of the cycle. The lock switch is a time delayed switch. Requires several minutes before it is activated to release. When washing single items you need to add another clothing item of approximately the same weight to create a balance during spin.

Machine makes a thumping noise when spinning

If its thumping you have the maching overloaded and the clothes (very easy to do with heavy jeans or sweaters) are all on one side causing an out of balance situation. Try relocating some of the clothes to the other side of the unit and if that doesn't seem to help remove some of the clothes to eas the load on the machine otherwise it will never reach maximum spin speeds needed to rinse your clothes.

Intuitive washer code 43

Thx to fixya l sovled my code 43 by removing and cleaning my balance control switch. If anyone needs to know here step by step
1 Make sure the plug is out ( dont want curly hair do you )
2 Remove 2 screws from back of control panel and lift off
3 Remove 1 screw holding grey module panel
4 Under grey module on right hand side is the balance control switch with 1 white and 1 yellow set of wires
5 remove wires ( make note on where they plug back into )
6 2 small clips hold the switch in place, open them gently and pull switch out

Its that simple , clean the contacts with some wd40 or bicarb soda in hot water to get rid of any corrosion, make sure that the little button on the side springs out freely ( tiny drop of oil/wd40 ) clean or replace plugs on the white / yellow wires. install and do that washing!!! It worked for me but if the switch is too far gone no need for a service man just get a new one and go for it .

Good luck Pieman
