You cannot reset the ink level indicator for the HP 60 ink cartridge. It shouldn't matter anyway because the level is only estimated for "management purposes only" (see user manual) meaning to let you know when it's near time to order a new cartidge. I have tried cycling through 3 different cartridges to reset the ink level for the one I refilled but it didn't work. Refill and just ignore the ink level indicator. Also, it's a good idea to clean the print heads with the solvent in the refill kit before refilling to remove old ink and imrpove print quality.
I tried blowing through the holes whenever printing quality is not good and it sure did the trick. I do printing a lot. about 40 reams a week and consume just about 300ml of ink..

How hp 60 black empty cartridge refill show full
Go to the following website and download the freeware InkMonitor 2.1.2: http://www.pokluda.cz/. You have to add data about new cartridge. HP60 ink cartridge information, 200 pages per cartridge. This works great for me. It gives you a history of everything printed. This way you can gauge when its time to refill your cartridges. You must refill before they run out of ink or you will burn out the print heads and have to replace them.
When you get an HP
integrated ink cartridge refilled (i.e. HP 60, 61, 74, 75, 901, 92-98....currently
offered by Costco and Frys today) or if you buy a remanufactured/compatible HP
ink cartridge, the ink levels CANNOT be reset (HP has a smart chip embedded
within the nozzle plate at base of ink cartridge which counts the drops and
then registers as empty - it uses fusible links so the electronics are literally blown - thus non-reversible).....so you just need to live with the low ink messages and ignore ink low, non-genuine, counterfeit, fraud messages and similar while you are
using these types of refilled or aftermarket ink supplies.
Refer
to Inkjet411.com sitelet for all printer models which use refilled ink cartridges (most major brands and models); also see video on HP60-61 low ink warning messages, along with all the other more severe error messages:

I would just like to add...If you need to purchase a new ink cartridge, we suggest you try a remanufactured ink cartridge fromhttp://www.inkplicity.com/ as their ink cartridges typically have the lowest cost in the USA and have a high reliability rating (free shipping for all orders above $20).

You can't reset the ink level marker for the HP 60 ink cartridge. It shouldn't have any effect regardless in light of the fact that the level is surveyed for "organization purposes only importance to reveal to you when it's nearly time to mastermind another cartridge. I have tried consuming 3 remarkable cartridges to reset the ink level for the one I refilled anyway it didn't work. Refill and basically dismiss the ink level marks. if any have any quarry related to hp products then contact https://customerservcetollfreenumber.com/hp-customer-care

HP60 Black cartridge filled easily, and is printing well in my new printer, BUT is there a way to reset guage to register cartridge as being full?
once it knows it is empty you're out of luck unless you can reset or replace the cartridge. not like an epson where you can get a chip resetter for their inks or the ssc service utility. canon may have a "adjustment" program for this i think but hp doesn't want you to refill inks. they put a date on them so you would throw what you had already paid so much for and buy it from them again.... called their expiration date they put on all their inks
the ink refiller guys would know for sure.
