I would first check the audio heads. Try a cleaning tape. If the tape fails to resolve the problem, have the unit cleaned professionally.

It is the internal circuitry that has to deal with powering the camera with the battery. You will want to follow this link and locate the nearest service center and have it repaired.

the battery of camcorder is not working properly.get the battery replaced or take it to service workshop for detailed check up of inner circuitry.

Check your battery contacts and camera's battery terminals for some dirt. If not from there, your battery needs replacement. When buying new one, test it first before leaving the store, its because even new one(old stock) might have the same problem. Good luck

My JVC GZ-MG21EK won't turn on, record, or playback unless it's plugged into the mains. It works perfectly when it's plugged in but won't function otherwise, no matter how long I leave it to charge.

Rechargeable batteries don't last forever. When I searched Amazon for "JVC GZ-MG21EK battery", I found lots, from about 9 pounds sterling ($12).

GZ-MG330 is new series of camcorder with 30GB HDD
Regarding battery, BN-VF808U, if its slim and supplied with camcorder then its OK and other longer life battery must be double then slim battery and of course, model number would be changed.
