Samsung UA40EH5000 led backlight tv when switched on first works for about 10 to 15 min and picture disapper and red green blue appears one after another sound is not effected. if switched off and keep for atleast 3 to 4 hours will work for another short while and start showing colours one after another this goes on till switched off.

I have a UA40EH5000M samsung led tv. Suddenly the screen went blank. only sound is there, no display. Which part may have the problem..please suggest..

If you can see the faint picture in flash light means the power supply and the main board is working. The real culprit is the backlight. Even one bad LED in the backlight will switch off the whole array. To repair this fault the panel has to be opened and the defective LED or LEDs are to be replaced.
This is a complicated, delicate and risky job and must be attempted by an expert only. You may end up damaging the screen permanently if you have not done it before and try to DIY.

I am afraid your problem is a little technical. Well if you know something about lcd tv technicals, the problem seems to be the T Con board and/or its connectors. Check the ribbon cables and connectors, clean them properly and and start the tv.If it is not possible or it does not work, please consult someone qualified to handle your set. Good luck.

do you have it hooked up through regular video? yellow cables or do you have a HD connection (HDMI, or composite cable, blue green and red) if not upgrade and you will see an outstanding difference.
Hi, how is the cable box hooked up to the TV? Is it HDMI cable or componet (red/green/blue) ? When you say totally green, do you mean the the picture is only green with the other colors missing or every color looks green ?

lg70 nice tv excellent processor just to bad there is no intensity control on color management oh well still better than what the three s are pushing block out the hype lg will be number 1 in a few years haters are starting to come around and well leds coming,
