Genius 8x6 tablet pen freezes

My pen for my genius 8x6 mousepen tablet constantly freezes. Mouse works fine, only my purpose in GETTING a tablet WAS the pen. So.
It pisses me off. Sometimes it'll work fine for several minutes, and sometimes it'll freeze and only responds when I bang the pen onto the tablet, causing it to move then freeze again. Horrendously aggravating, please help? I might just get a wacom tablet. :C

Try putting a new battery in it. Mine was having the same sort of problems, and they were pretty much entirely fixed by a new battery.

I had a serious lag issue with Genius Easypen F610E. You draw a square but the signal is laggy and it is unable to draw it properly. Leaves even a trace behind (see pic below with black squares). Searched the internet for solutions, it seems some others have the same issue.
Changing battery didnt help. Changing computer and OS didnt help. But its an issue of electrostatics (pen, tablet, your body) as I noticed. I needed to wrap a foil around the pen's upper part, and connect it to battery's minus terminal. That fixed the lag problem. Its not pretty, but it works.(see green squares in the picture).
It's seems to be a design flaw.

An update: I returned the tablet and they confirmed that it's "an unusual behaviour". Got a new one. This does not suffer from such electrostatic problems. But when the CPU cranks up, similar lag occurs. So it's a design flaw. Many months have passed since my support request letter to Genius - no answer.

My Genius Mousepen 8x6 tablet isn't working with the pen. If the pen touches the tablet, the light lights up, but the cursor doesn't click and it won't move either. The mouse is working fine, though.

My i608 pen stopped working today. I've had it for a month. The mouse was working fine, but the pen wouldn't work at all. Then I left the mouse on the pad and used the pen while the mouse was on the pad, and the pen started working again. Now it works even without the mouse on the pad. Did it re-establish the radio connection or something by doing that? Anyway, saved me the $25 replacement cost.

if you do not have an iphone you should have little use for this program which is a notoriously bad piece of software in windows.

Pen does not work

There is two sections of the pen. *I have the same tablet from what you described.* Twist and pull gently apart the two sides of the pen. It will open, and the battery pops out.

My pen wont respond on the tablet

No software aside from drivers are necessary. The Genius Tablet comes a configuration menu you can test. If you don't have this, you can get it for free from Genius' website.

You need to hold the pen close to the tablet to allow it to detect movement. I hold my pen <1cm from the surface. You may want to check the batteries.

Genius MousePen 8x6 Problem

I've had a similar problem - I unplugged the tablet from the PC and back in again, the PC recognised it as new and reinstalled it straight away (this is on XP). The first time the driver stopped responding I had unplugged the tablet because intended to deal with problem later. Plugged back in - worked. Twice now. I've restarted to see if the driver stopped again and if I would have to re-plug the tablet, didn't need to, I guess it's a solution to keep in mind next time this comes up.
