My Kenmore Elite HE 4t washer's time display is blinking with various numbers, mostly 8s and all the other lights blink simultaneously with beeping noises. Unplugged it for 24 hours but it still is flashing lights, different numbers, and beeping. Does my central control unit need replacing or could it be something else.

This error only shows in diagnostic mode, with power off choose any buttons except stop and power, press in intervals 5 seconds on and 5 seconds off until 88 appears and all light light up. If the user panel is faulted F 2 will flash in the display, press the same button you used to start diagnostics to jump to the next error code and once through 88 will flash and diagnostics will start. Sometimes once F2 flashes and the machine has not been repaired it will stick at that mode.

"F11" is a Serial Communications error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and Motor Control Unit (MCU). The CCU is the main computer for the washer and is located directly behind the wash tub. The MCU is the Drive Motor Control board and is located in the rear of the washer adjacent to the Drive Motor on the left-hand side (facing from the rear with the back panel removed). The wiring harness can also cause the error, but it is not as common a problem.

Whirlpool is the manufacturer of both model washers and recommends the following troubleshooting advice. Remove the top panel of the washer by removing the three screws holding it in place in the rear. Once the screws are removed, the panel slides back, then off. Remove the rear panel of the washer for access to the drive motor and MCU. Now check the following:

- Check the wire harness connections between the CCU, the MCU and Drive Motor. Make sure all connections are attached and making good contact. Check for any broken wires or connector pins.
- Check the Drive Motor to see if it free spins and that the belt is still attached and not slipping. If the motor is seized, replace it. If the belt is broken or worn, replace it as well.
- Check the MCU. Connector 1 is the Serial Communications Link between the MCU and CCU. Connector 2 is the connector to the drive motor. Resistance checks across pins 1, 2, & 3 are the motor windings. Connector 3 is the power supply - 120VAC should be read across pins 1 and 2 with the door in the locked position. NOTE: The connectors are read 1, 2, and 3 from the bottom to the top with the MCU installed.
- Check the CCU. Verify connectors 7 and 11 are properly installed. Facing from the front of the washer, connector 7 is the 4th connector from the RIGHT along the front. This is MCU Power. Connector 11 is the Serial Communications link from the CCU to the MCU and is located along the left hand side of the CCU (the connectors are numbered 11 through 14 back to front).
- Check the Drive Motor. Remove the connector and perform resistance checks on the motor connector pins. Readings across pins 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and 1 to 3 should read 6 ohms.

In most cases this is an indication of a failed CCU. This is an easy repair that the average do-it-yourselfer can accomplish on their own. If the washer is still under a warranty, parts and labor would be covered. With no warranty, a replacement parts will vary in price depending on where you get them. There are several good websites available that you can order parts on line and have shipped directly to you.

NOTE: Remove all the connectors from the CCU ONE AT A TIME and reconnect to see if the error code goes away BEFORE you decide to purchase a new one. It is not common, but sometimes a flaky connection can generate error codes.

Hi

F70 is a communication error between the central control unit and the user interface. First check the continuity of the user interface harness and then check the wire harness connections to the user interface and the central control unit. If the drum rotates then replace the user interface, if the drum is not moving then replace the central control unit (CCU). Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Kenmore elite washer not starts just blinking lights.

What light(s) blink? How many times to they blink? Do they blink all the time, or just when you press a key? If it's just 1 light that blinks 3 times whenever you press a key, then you have the child-lock (or control-lock) function turned on. If you look at your control console closely, you should see some key near the lock symbol (frequently the Heated Dry key), with the notation "hold 3 seconds". Press and hold that key for 3 to 4 seconds to de-activate the child-lock.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 HDTV that suddenly wont turn on. Just has a green blinking light when you hit the power button. Any ideas?

I found this on another website, most likely it is your power supply capacitors.
  1. Press the "reset" button and hold for 10 seconds .... Does TV turn on and blinking green light turn to solid green.

  2. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours..... Does blinking green light continue upon plugging in the TV.

  3. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV; DVD, Tuner, Cable Box, unplug the TV for various duration times .... Does blinking green light continues upon plugging in the TV.

  4. Press Power and Menu buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  5. Press Power and Display buttons simultaneously and hold depressed for 20 seconds .... Does blinking green light continue to flash.

  6. Insure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.

Diagnosis: If none of the above test resolve the issue, then the failure lies in one of the following:

  1. DM Module Capacitors have FAILED.
  2. DM Module is defective.
  3. EEPROM Board failure
  4. Power Supply failure.

My Kenmore Elite washer model 110.27062600 stopped working. All the front panel lights are flashing on and off for 7 times then pauses and starts blinking again. The machine will not do anything. No...

if this is an oasis model. Try pushing other buttons you should get a touch tone (beep) as a good response. if no sound you seem to have a interface problem. not a main ctrl.
