SOURCE: Mitsubishi 60 inch projection

They are not BULBS by any stretch of the imagination. They are CRTs (Cathode Ray Tubes, also known as "picture tubes," and each of them are small television screens, in essence), which are optically enlarged for projection onto the back of the front screen. Don't be tempted to think that you will merely be able to replace a "bulb" and have everything work!

Although you will be able to replace all of the components on the PC board if necessary (they all remain available), and may be able to fix the coolant leak that caused the failure, the CRT may have overheated. Considering the advanced age of the television, the tubes are likely already somewhat burned-in. Best to just dispose of the set.

SOURCE: How do I deguassa VS-55601

Many manufacturers put a software degause feature in the main menu. There should be an option for deguassing, I am not a hundred percent on this model but if you look in your operations manual it will tell you if this option is available. If not you can purchase a deguaser at a local electronics supplier. It is basically a round donut shaped electro magnet use caution and follow the instructions. Remember in the future to always keep external speakers away from your TV sets..

The main board/switch is worn to the point it will not work anymore after a while, I been in the business for years, These are wonderful TV's, yes there are replacement parts but a quick fix your looking for here will be unsuccessful this is the reason I am providing my advice and take a chance on the rating your going to give me. Mitsubishi vs-55601 55 inch tv

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Model ws65613 green power lite keeps blinking tv does not turn on

oh yea don't try to look for a lamp in your tv set that has three crt's!

if you can solder and unsolder , then replace the four(4) 1000uf capacitors on the dm board , and make sure the new caps are 25v or 35v , also check fuses for the two STK 394-250 convergence IC's (ic8c01 , ic8c02 )( on the big heat sink ) , if they are blown then replace the convergence IC's also
here is the service manual that will help in dissasembly and locations of dm board and convergence IC's

My big screen tv

this is usually a problem with one of the voltage regulators, or the horizontal output transistors.

Sounds like its going into auto protect shutdown. Try holding the imputand menu bottons in together for 5 seconds and see if the green light blinks out a series of blinks. If so notice what they are, should be a 2 digit code if its going into shut down. If not its a power supply issue. Also you can look the boards over for evidence of CRT fluid leaking on the boards, I have seen this happen alot to the VS models it causes corrosion of the components and you will experience no start up condition like the one your describing.
