turn on the ignition. if the yellow gets power with the key on, and no power with the key off, it connects to the yellow on the radio. Yellow on the radio is for memory power, to remember your presets and clock.
All aftermarket radios now are all the same when it comes to wiring colors.
black is always common, or ground for all aftermarket radios.
Pull the radio out, tape off all wires but yellow, red and black. Twist red/ yellow together and attach to positive 12 volt, attach black wire to negative 12 volts. Turn on radio and see if it comes out of protect mode. If it does, you will have to troubleshoot all of the speaker wires to find a short.

did u check the fuse in the back of the radio?did you check the radio fuse in your car? Do you have the yellow battery memory wire hooked up? Is the black ground wire connected
you need to hook the yellow wire off the back of the radio up straight to the battery this keeps memory power to the head unit then wire the wires in color coded sequence red to red black to black so on and so forth if this doesnt fix it you might want to think about replacing head unit
Thank you for a quick answer
