Power led &reset& h d d led - Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 Motherboard

1) With the machine power turned off, while pressing the Stop/Reset button, press and hold the ON/OFF button. (DO NOT release the buttons). The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.

2) While holding the ON/OFF button, release the Stop/Reset button. (DO NOT release the ON/OFF button.)



3) While holding the ON/OFF button, press the Stop/Reset button 2 times, and then release both the ON/OFF and Stop/Reset buttons. (Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED

4) When the Power LED lights in green (and "ServiceMode Idle" is displayed on the LCD), press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the function listed in the table below, then press the ON/OFF button. (Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED


1) In the service mode, press the Stop/Reset button 4 times to enter the ink absorber counter resetting mode

2) In the ink absorber counter resetting mode, press the Stop/Reset button the specified number of time(s) according to the kind of ink absorber whose value should be reset to 0%.

from the 1 pin that is single without pair..disregard that then put the pw button.. to make sure short it using a philips or long nose.. if you find the power on button...or just find first the power button by shorting the pins...

the sequnce are pw button reset button pw led hdd led..you just nid to align them to the power button..

u will find front pannel connection pins on mother board. its in 2 lines. in onle row there is one pin slot idle. next to that vacant pin slot u insert reset sw, next to it insert hdd led, behind hdd led insert power led, next to power led (behind reset sw) insert power sw. thats it done

<Waste ink counter reset procedures>
At the waste ink absorber replacement, reset the waste ink counter for the replaced waste ink absorber.
Setting operation for the waste ink counter (The counter setting value is selected by pressing the Reset button.)

<Button / LCD checking operation procedures>
At Operation panel unit replacement, check the button / LCD.
1. When pressing the Stop button two times, the machine will be moved into an LED confirmation mode.
2. As often as the Color button is pressed one time, each LED is lit one by one, and the machine get in the mode in which each
button is acceptable.
3. As often as each buttons on the panel is pressed from the left to the right, the displayed number is counted up.

4. When all buttons are pressed, [1] will be displayed. Then, LED[8.5 x 11 Plain Paper] and LED[8.5 x 11 Photo Paper] will be lit on
the panel, and the machine will be in a service mode menu selection mode.

Those are really tricky and always vary from motherboard to motherboard.
without the exact model no one will be able to tell you exactly. But I'd recommend that you start out with the power (pw) plug and try trial and error. The only ones really necessary are the pw and reset. the only 2 that are polarity sensitive are the HDD light and pw led.

[10][ 9] Pin 1 = +HDD pin 3 = -HDD LED
[ 8][ 7] Pin 2 = + POWER pin 4 = - power LED (SPD)
[ 6][ 5] Pins 5 & 7 = reset
[ 4][ 3] Pins 6 & 8 = Power switch

There is a line connection on power led that has a negative and positive maybe it inter change. Or there is an inter-change connection between your power led and reset led in *********** board.

Hold right left and power all at the same time and it will reset...
