Flash is not flashing

I have a fujifilm zoom date 120 point and shoot non-digital camera. I put it away when I bought my first digital, but my mother needed a camera, so I gave her this one. I used the camera lightly for about two years or less before putting it away. She could not see the flash operating on any of her pictures, so I checked everything over. My mom didn't know about the green light in the viewfinder or holding the button halfway down...but even when I followed this direction, there was no flash. I double checked the display and purposely set the flash to flash manually...not automatically...no flash. Thanks for thinking about this!

I have a Pentax IQZoom 160 and it has error code U3 when I turn it on. The flash and zoom try to deploy several times but only the flash comes out.

If the 'U' disappears when the zoom lever is moved your camera is ready to use. It may be defective if it comes up often.

Owners Manual

No need for manual it is just an aim and shoot camera it has two modes auto and program. You better use auto mode.

Try changing the battery and reloading the film. You can try emailing fuji as well. If these don't work take it to your local camera store to send away for repair, or a new digital camera.
