How old is the remote is a question to consider. the batteries might just be too low to send a strong enough signal for the truck's transponder to receive. does the remote need to be coded to the truck if not more than likely its weak batteries. the LCD display doesn't need much power to light up, but the remote does to send the signal.

This may be a problem with wiring. I will need to know what the make and model is of the car. Also keyless entry system stock OEM or was that an option you have added? Lastly, did you install this system or was this installed by a cetified DEI corperation?

My battery ran low and I jump started my car which some how caused the problem. My viper technician made me a buy new remote but the problem continued even with the new remote.
Try disconnecting the battery of your car for ten minutes and then reconnecting it. It worked for me. Now i have a extra remote which i don't need.

Try plugging the charger into an outlet then, plug the charger into the remote, remove, plug in, remove...Do this for approximately six(6) times or, until "charge" appears on the remote. When "charge" appears on the remote leave it pug up to complete charge.
