My cyan print head is clogged. I purchased a kit to clean out the heads and followed the instructions. I did this multiple times but the cyan ink would still not print. I replaced the ink and it still would not work. We then took apart the print head and cleaned it, flushing it out with the solution. It appears to be unclogged now, but still won't print.

SOURCE: My Cyan and Blue cartridges are not printing

Hi There

Summary

Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

And if that not work

Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.

Ok.

There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

Cyan ink worked until needed to replace that empty cartridge. Now, all colors print but Cyan. I have cleaned inks, blocked eye with tape, cleaned where cartridge goes with warm water (in those holes),...

First do not use cartrigde compatible or refill because you clogged the print head,is verry sensitive. If you try to clean the print head and nothing you need to replace the print head is the only solution, after replace the print head you print all the colors.

NOTE!!! After you replace the print head use only original cartridge brother !!!!

New ink no print

Hi Good day!! Try to do a printer maintenance
Cleaning a Clogged Print Head

1. Press the cleaning button located on the front of the printer. Hold it down for 3 seconds to begin the cleaning cycle.

2. Run a cleaning cycle using your Epson printer utilities program. In Windows, go to "Start," "Printers and Faxes," right-click on your printer and choose "Printing Preferences." Select the "Utility" or "Maintenance" tab, depending on your printer model, and click "Head Cleaning." When the head cleaning cycle is complete, run "Nozzle Check." Repeat the head cleaning and nozzle check one to three times.

3. To access the Epson printer utility in OS X, select the Epson Printer Utility icon in the Applications folder in Macintosh HD. If prompted, select your printer from the Printer List, then click "OK."

Clean the print head manually. Remove the ink cartridges from your printer according to the instructions in your owner's manual. Turn off your printer. Dip a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol, ammonia or hot water and rub the swab against the print head. Let the printer sit overnight.

Remove the print head according to the instructions in your owner's manual. Soak the print head for at least an hour in a small dish of hot water or isopropyl alcohol.

Preventing Clogged Print Heads

1. Use your printer at least once a week. Regular use will keep dried ink from clogging your print heads. If you have a color inkjet printer, print full color pages in addition to black-and-white documents.

2. Turn your printer off when not in use. This will prevent warm ink from bleeding onto the print head. If you have to store your printer, remove the ink cartridges.

3. Use a cleaning kit regularly. A cleaning kit usually includes a tube of ammonia that you spray on the printer head to clean dry ink.

Suspected clogged blue ink tube

most of the time, the print head need to be replaced for your case... but there are cases whereby it's the ink cart that causes the ink clogged.. you can try replacing the cyan ink and do another round of cleaning.. but chances are slim...

I put a new color cart in and now my pictures have a green hue to them

Hi
Sounds like too much cyan.
Remove ink and place onto a paper towel.
If it appears too much cyan *blue then let it stand for 2 mins. You can do the same if mixed.

Once normal colours appear try again.

However, if like most... and your printer has just been left unused for some time? You probably have an ink clog on the cyan and magenta.

Provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? Then you just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.
Magic Inkjet Flush usually works a treat on those!

Magic is ideal for unclogging the tiny jets on any Canon, Epson HP andremoving those horrible white lines which usually appear in prints whendried ink clogs several jets...

So if yours appears to be a clog? all you should need to do is to usethe Magic Inkjet Flush kit to soak the print head and you should beprinting again like new.

Prints like it is running out of ink, but it is a new cartridge. Some sentences are printing, others are blank, or partially printing.Followed instructions to align and clean nozzles. Doesn't help.

If you have lots of flashing error lights or electrical problems then it is likely to be electrical.

Cyan ink wont come out

It is probably clogged. You need to using lint free swabs and vinigar to clean it. The vinigar disolves deposits of dried ink.

If this doesn't work then it can be a print head problem and that is usally cheaper to replace the printer than it is to repair it.

Canon MP510 skips and makes 2 small blank lines going DOWN the pages, in only cyan and magenta. The two lines show up on the Nozzle Check Pattern but only on cyan and magenta.

The printer is not recognising cyan ink cartidge CLI-BC even though it is full

Try doing a nozzle check to see which colors are getting through the printhead. If you are missing lines in the pattern or there is no ink color showing, you will have to do a head cleaning. Was your printer out of ink for any length of time? If so, it is a clogged printhead. some printers are designed in a way that will not allow you to print at all, if you are out of a color. They do this for a specific reason- If you were allowed to print in black and you were out of yellow and you did this for a month and then replaced the yellow, you would have a clogged printhead. Why? Because there is a reservoir in the print head and if you do not replace the ink, after a while, the ink in the reservoir will dry out and you will have a clogged printhead. The only way to fix this is to do a head cleaning (2-3-4, depending on how bad the clog is) and that uses a lot of ink. So, Epson does not allow you to print if one color is out, to save you the time and expense of having to do a head cleaning.

Did you remember to take the tape off the top of the cartridge? If so, run a few cleanings and do a nozzle check. If there is still no cyan, your print heads may be clogged
