“Is it possible to program a brookstone universal touch screen remote to the receiver without the factory remote?” No need to program a brookstone universal touch screen remote to the receiver. “If so how please?” Just google 'denon app download' will get help. Try to download "denon app for Android" (denon remote app) to control the amp .
..or you could buy a universal remote, like Logitech Harmony xx. Denon also makes a universal remote, but it is pretty expensive and not as easy to program as the Harmony.
without remote u can not operate it properly go for a universal remote of reputed brands like One4All. its not costly also. U can program the remote by reading the manuals
I had the same problem. Unfortunately Denon no longer mfgs. the remote for this receiver,
their solution is to offer a remote for a "similar" model. Problem is it doesn't work on all the
functions for the AVR-3802. My solution was to purchase an aftermarket universal remote
(Logitec Harmony 550 in my case}. The cost was a little less (approx. $90) vs. the price
quoted by Denon (somewhere around $120), and it works on all the functions.
I don't know if a budget priced remote (All-in-one, etc.) would be able to do th same.
There are several different programmable remotes on the market that should do the trick,
Logitec just happens to be one of them.
These remotes are known to be weak, Denon is aware of the problem, here in the Netherlands they've sold out. Spare part no longer available. Try an older remote to an Denon AVR. these will work for say, 98% and are more reliable.
