I believe that it is referring to the amount of RAM that you have. If you don't have enough RAM, you would either need to upgrade that or consider buying a new computer. As far as video memory, you can go to run under the start menu and run "dxdiag". Under the Display tab from this window, you will see how much video memory you have.

This is posted under Photoshop 7.0 for PC. If you are in fact using Photoshop here's what I would tell you. Photoshop is a highly professional bitmap based color correction, design, and illustration program. Since it's bitmap based it's a memory hog. It's recommended that you check the specs for the software and make sure you have at least the minimal system requirements. For any version of Photoshop you want at least 1G to 2G of RAM.

Digital Arts and Crafts Studio

heya Somer..it definitely is a video card issue. First you MUST have at least 75meg ram. Next, try this:

1. Bring the "Display Properties" dialog window (right-click on the desktop, click on Properties)
2. Click on the "Settings" tab. (make sure your screen resolution is set to 1024 by 768, and the color quality is 32 bits)
3. Click on the "Advance" button (this will bring a new dialog box)

On the newly opened dialog box:
4. Click on the "Troubleshoot" tab
5. Set the "Hardware acceleration" to "Full" (drag the slider all the way to where it says "Full")
6. Click "Apply", then "Ok" (this will close the dialog box)
7. Close the "Display Properties" dialog window by clicking on the OK button.

Try turning the toy ON now. If it doesn't work, try lowering the Acceleration to as low as possible.

Maybe you can make your kid's own ID on the computer so they can log in to this and not bugger up your own log in.

I hope this helps.

the OPTIONS.INI file is there on the installation disc, its just hidden. EXPLORE the contents of the installation CD, the click TOOLS at the top of the screen>FOLDER OPTIONS>VIEW>tick "SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS. The OPTIONS.INI file can now be seen (along with other hidden files). Copy the whole lot to an empty folder on your desktop. Go to this newly created folder and open the OPTIONS.INI file. Just change the 0 to a 1 at the end of the command line in the file and save the change when prompted, then double click the SET UP file to launch the installation from your hard disc. This worked a treat for me and my daughter is very happy now. Thanks for the other help provided is this forum, Happy New Year! Steve.
