Apple Ipod Touch 8gb backlight not working

Step 1: First, make sure your backlight does not work. Go to Settings, tap Brightness, and drag the slider all the way to the right. If this does not work, then your iPod's backlight has failed.

yea i got the same problem... You could take it apart and replace the light and see if thats the problem or you could just send it to a shop.

its a hardware problem,if you have warranty go for it or else if you,re comfortable opening it up then post back for step by step tutorial on how to open it up

You need to put in DFU MODE, and restore your ipod touch.
Easy:
Press The Home Button + power button for 10 seconds. after 10 seconds, press only the Homme button.
And now, connect your ipod touch on itunes and press RESTORE.

you probably need to replace the LCD screen. But there is one method that worked for me. I blew into the bottom hard and put it in sleep mode for about 5 minutes. When I turned it on again i went to settings and put the brightness all the way up and it worked

go to settings----brightness and increase the brightness. if this doesn't work, go to the apple store or call apple

see if your backlight is low in settings, if not you are just better off getting a new ipod

try to increase the brightness from settings or bring it back to the apple store/ call apple
