Yes you have to use the recommended Uverse codes, and follow the directions to enter the code. Hold the tv button down, on the Uverse remote, then with it stil held down add the OK button, let go of both, then you will see the lights at the top of Uverse remote light up, it is then ready to accept the code, it will be a four digit code, Go to [email protected], and look under TV, then programming the remote is there. Put remote Code in the att search box if you can't find it.

Access the help section of the menu on your uverse connected TV. Select the option "Remote Control Setup". Select your style of remote and select the type of device that you want to program your remote to and then just simply follow the instructions provided on-screen.

I have Att Uverse and a Samsung LCD. We have

If your using the IR remote, the actual colors of the tv are what is causing your problem. What I have found to solve this is go to your local ATT corp. store and order the RF remote this will solve your problem. The techs don't carry these on their truck.

Cant get rid of black baras on top and below while watching DVD's

The TV remote may have a button stating Aspect Ratio, or similar. Usually when you keep hitting it, it may cycle through available settings like 16:9, 4:3, Wide, Zoom, etc. If not, or if the remote doesn't have this button, check the TV's onscreen display but usually the source device like the DVD player is in control of how the image fits the screen so the DVD player's onscreen display or it's remote may also have the Aspect option so check it as well. Todays TV's are alot like PC monitors and they "talk" to the device in control of the signal. Your Samsung may have worked better with the Blu Ray, or maybe it's the other way around but your new LG may not have an automatic adjustment like the Samsung may have had.
