Adjust the carb using the two tuning screws marked H & L. The other one adjusts the idle speed 'tick over'

HOW DO YOU ADJUST CARB ON STHIL CHAIN SAW

start by turning adjustment screws in. turn low speed out one turn and the high side 3/4 turn. start engine and adjust accordingly. the one turn and 3/4 turn are the starting point. saw should start at these settings and then you can fine tune. without knowing your elevation I can't give you the number of turns .

Sthil 011 chain saw flooding has new carb

may be new carb but the main thing in flooding is that the float is getting stuck or has crack in it...Or second thing is that the needle valve has a piece of trash dirt causing it to stay open..

Motor runs but blade stops 1" into the wood

Seems like it could be a clutch/drum issue. I have known clutches to break through the threads in the crank shaft so they appear tight but are actually broken. I'd look at the drum assembly to see why the drive to the chain is slipping.

Tk carb ? sthil trimmer has 3 adj screws ,how do you adj?

One adjustment screw (probably Phillips-head) is the Idle speed adjustment screw. Turn it in, to increase idle speed (it moves the throttle plate)...turn it out to slow idle speed down. The other 2 screws are the Low mixture screw and the High mixture screw. The L screw is closest to the engine and is used to adjust the engine at IDLE. The H mixture screw is to be adjusted when the engine is at wide-open throttle to get the proper RPM's....not too little and not too much. Here is a tutorial by Zama carburetor reiterating what I have just told you and HOW to go about your adjustment.

How to rebuild a carbeurator for028 sthil chainsaw and adjusting the ga s valve?

disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner.Makesure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see daylightthrough it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152),to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance on:
1. Fuel line replacement or
2. Carburetor kit replacement

Just let me know.
