FTA Does anyone know the FTA technical stuff? I'm interested in knowing what TSOP and stuff like that is. I'm new to it and would love to know what I'm doing.

Relays in most cases and I would be willing to bet in yours heart basically switches. When you push the button to move your seat up if it's electric or push the button to activate your window if it's electric that button basically sends signal to that relay it's able to handle more electricity, so the relays r4 stuff like power seats power windows and some more so have to do with the motor, but there is little suckers are really expensive, even for your horn there is a relay, they're pretty interesting if you get bored and have a spare tear apart it's basically a little tiny electromagnet sorry I know I've over explained this. I'm no smarter than anyone, I just so happen to run in to the same problem you did I figured it out love to share

Generic responses:
1. depending on your FTA receiver (brand/model/version) (BlackBird, MultiStar, UltraStar, Pansat, Digiwave, Viewsat, Coolsat, Fortec, Ariza, Twinhan... or even clones) you would need to download the appropriate firmware/satellite keys using your PC & Internet connection;
2. links to firmware/satellite keys maybe available from your FTA receiver manufacturer's website or forums such as HashHU FTA
3. in your PC, unzip the downloaded firmware/satellite keys to a temporary folder;

If you are using a stand-alone hardware FTA box:
a. plug in your 2GB Cruzer Micro Flash Drive to one of your PC's USB port;
b. copy/paste the unzipped files in the root directory of the Flash Drive. Verify that you have the .bin or .pmg of whatever your FTA box is using;
c. remove flash drive from PC's USB port and insert into the USB port of the FTA receiver;
d. on the FTA box, using your remote, go to Menu, Settings or Sytem Information, keys, firmware or receiver Upgrade, select USB, select Flash, Save, Activate or Upgrade;
e. wait until the FTA box has uploaded to itself the new firmware/satellite keys;
f. reboot (power on/off).

If you are using PC-based FTA satellite receiver:
i. run your FTA receiver program;
ii. select for Tools/Options/Upgrade or Update;
iii. browse/direct to search in your temporary folder where downloaded files were unzipped;
iv. once found, click OK/Update/Upgrade;
v. in some brand/model/version, there is an auto upgrade/update feature which will download appropriate firmware/satellite keys if you are online.

Cascaded routers are interesting, too interesting. It can be done, but the technical stuff gets very deep. I set the Virgin Media router to modem only and use my own router (D-Link DIR-655)

gee. you have to have the hot air removial tool to take out the t sop.then you have to wipe it and reinstall.these t sops are not readily available.you will have to descard it or find a repair facility that could repair it.if you google neosat repair you may get lucky and find a repair facility in canada.

You wont quite simply get it fixed. Try the Vivitar Technical Support-tell them when purchased - Dont tell them you dropped it See what happens Otherwise New camera There are no Fix options.
