Look through the settings in the game you are playing, for keyboard and mouse settings. There is usually a section for assigning functions to the mouse. If you are not using it in a game, you may need driver software for the mouse. Contact the manufacturer. If there is no driver software available, you may need to purchase a new one that comes with software for that purpose.
Go to Start Click in box and type Device Manager Click on Device Manager in the list Click on Mice and other pointing devices RIGHT click on PS/2 Compatible Mouse Click on update drivers Click on Search automatically for updated driver software
You maybe just need to install the driver or software for the keyboard. Try to visit the manufactures site of the keyboard in search for software. The driver is sometimes available at windows update. Are there any faults in the device manager ???
Eliminate your mouse driver and reload it again
Free downloads of your mouse driver are available on the web. Go to any GOOGLE web page and type in the mouses manufactures name and model number to do this download
You might try going to the manafacturers web site to see if there is an updated driver available for it.
From HP's website,( http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/hk/en/sm/WF05a/321957-321957-64295-3955548-3955548-3957663.html ),
it does not show that a external mouse was available. Is this a mouse that was purchased seperately?? If so you will need to go to the manafacturer of the mouse itself.
Tried a different mouse? Maybe the power outage fried it. pc2 mouse?
If it the wirring is fried or the mother board for the mouse is fried then you could purchase a USB mouse if you have an available port.
Finally download the mouse driver and reload it first. Any more questions please ask. Thanks
