Dishwashers tend to get stuck on wash cycle if the water temperature is not reaching the level the wash program expects it to reach. This could be due to faulty heater or thermostat or both.
Plug the Siemens dishwasher into a working electrical outlet if nothing on the dishwasher is operating. Check the household circuit breaker or fuse and reset or replace as needed.
Push the door closed fully if the dishwasher has power but isn't starting. The unit will not operate if the door is open.
the element will be housed in a plastic manifold that is located at the centre rear of the d/w base. you may have a resetable thermostat on the top so give it a try first.
