Rangemaster Elan 90 (Dual Fuel) Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range Logo
Posted on Sep 02, 2007

Rangemaster Toledo Had a power cut, then the (electric) ovens don't work. Everything else seems fine (except the display keeps flashing). Is there anything that can be done to prevent me from taking a sledgehammer to it and devoting my life to destroying the company that makes them?

We had the same problem - a power cut then the clock flashed up 'auto' preventing the oven from working.
After downloading the manual from the rangemaster website we learnt that all you need to do (for the classic dual fuel anyway) is to press in the 2 buttons on the left and set the time using the + or - keys. Dead easy and Christmas dinner is back on!

Set the time - the ovens won't work unless the time is set as the clock thinks it's programmed to turn the ovens off.

Check out the rangemaster.co.uk website as the user manuals are there as Adobe PDF files.

Our cooker has stopped working and auto is flashing

If auto is flashing, i would say the oven is waiting on a clock time to be set to determine when to start cooking and when to turn off. Try and reprogramme the oven to manual. Reset the clock time, It should work then.

I have 0.00 and aoto flashing on and off.

After a power failure most digital clocks have the zero's and auto flashing. These ovens will not work if clock(time of day) is not set. By pressing incorrect buttons, you can complicate things further. Recommend turning off power to oven for a few seconds, then follow manual for resetting clock, which is usually holding down the 2 buttons on the left hand side simultaneously, and holding down these two press the + or - key to advance clock.

Toledo 90 side oven fan not working.

We had the same problem about 2 months after we bought the cooker. The engineer had to change the fan motor.

Oven fan noisy/broken

this noise probably means that the fan is about to stop working, this is what happened to mine. You can easily buy replacement fan off E-bay (it seems easier to find the right fan on e-bay that any of the confusing supplier sites). You then just need to remove the inside oven back and the outside electrical to replace the fan.
