My sony vaio is not booting up and i cant recover it

You can either try to spam the F12 button upon start-up to directly select which device to boot from, or either F4 or Delete are the typical keys used to get into the BIOS and you can change the boot order from there to automatically select a CD drive device if it ever detects one.

if the computer is a sony vaio
start the computer and try F8 or F10 repeatedly until the the
ADVANCED BOOT OPTIONS screen appears

if that doesn't work you may have to contact sony vaio for recovery disks

If the BIOS does not have the USB as one of the boot options then you cannot boot up with an USB memory stick.
In this case you need to replace the CD/DVD drive with a new one.

put in a windows disk,,cd,,,,,restrt cpu,,,push esc button boot options,,,also check sony website may need a bis update ,,

When you turn it on, if you are given the choice of what to boot[press F8? key when booting], pick the recovery console, and recover from the hidden partition on the hard disk. Most allow you to use the hidden recovery partition to make a DVD for backup. I would do that, too.

boot from your original cd and choose repair windows

what your describing is a hard disk failure the computer cant or wont read the hard disk to boot the machine, so it shuts down. Sounds like the hard disk died from a bad virus. and the computer wont run. Best I can do for you is either format the Hard disk and reinstall the operating system or buy a new hard disk. Cheers

I would fold the inbuilt keyboard back and use an external keyboard.
