How to reset a diesel dz7080 watch after battery been replaced

The easiest way is to pop into a jeweller or watch maker for a new battery.

I think it is a 337 battery, if you take to a place that sells the batteries usually they will replace for you and you just pay for new battery. Hope this helps!

I just figured this out. When you replace the batteries, there's the white plastic cover secured with two screws. Remove them and you'll see an area with two exposed 'pads' that says 'reset'. Simply touch them together with a paperclip, screwdriver or whatever and the watch starts right up. :)

Black display, battery is ok. But, if you open it, pull out mechanism and look at screen and push time/date button in some dark place you will see that they are still running but without backlite. As i know it cannot be repaired.

I have the exact same problem. The watch was working fine up until I had the battery replaced. I went to another watch repair shop (couldn't go to the same one as I had moved to another town) and the chap there explained that with Diesel watches, when the batteries are replaced a small button inside the mechanism must be pressed to reset the settings, if this isn't done then the annoying problem, inflicting our watches, will occur.
My watch worked fine after, for a few days, then it began to reset again; casting doubt on the watch repair man's explanation. I'll go back to see the chap when I have the time, prob next week and keep you chaps posted on anything new.

dont do it yourself it will invalidate the warranty bring it back to the shop the should replace the battery free of charge. it might be more than the battery. if this helps please rate. joe
