Hello everybody. I have two sets batterys: GP 2300mAh and another set of Olympus 1800mAh. My problem is that the batteries dont last to much time. I only can take 20 pictures and then the camera goes off. The batterie compartment goes very hot. Please advice. Thanks very much

Thanks, but there is no problem with the batteries. For instance, with alcalyne batteries i only can take 10 pictures aprox.

This thing does eat batteries. I use mine with the video screen OFF and ue the optical viewfinder. This helps a lot. Also, switch the flash OFF when you don't need it.

I also had the same problem -- but now it will not even power on with new batteries that work in other devices.

Short in the camera so you do not get proper switch off even when you switch the camera off ( so it stays on all the time ). Or your charger is not fully charging your batteries which then go into your camera say half charged and dont last very long.

I own a vivitar T 324 and go through batteries constantly. Do I need to use a special battery for the camera to last longer than about a dozen pics?

Some of the early Vivitars using AA batteries had a reputation for going through them quickly. The best batteries for these cameras are high capacity NiMH rechargeables. These can last longer than alkaline types, per charge, and of course are reusable, so they work out a lot cheaper. Look for ones marked 2300mAH or 2700mAH, and get two sets so that one can be on charge while using the other. You can buy sets of these with a charger quite cheaply these days.

I have a vivicam and it didn't come with a chager this is my frist vivicam ever what do i have to do to chager it?

I sense that your camera is not actually the DVR-390h in the title. That is an older multi-media device that came with a lithium battery and a charger.

If you bought your camera new and got no charger with it, it may be that your camera uses ordinary AA batteries, which can be rechargeable or just disposable Alkaline cells. You would have got a set of alkaline AAs with the camera, and when these expire, you just put in a fresh set, that you can buy anywhere. DON'T use cheap zinc or "long life" AAs, though. They are not up to the task, and can leak and corrode your camera.

If you want to, you can buy a set (or two sets, to have spares) of rechargeable AA cells. Get high capacity NiMH type, preferably 2300mAH or 2700mAH rated ones. You can often buy these with a charger relatively cheaply. These batteries can last longer, per charge, than alkalines, and will work out cheaper in the long run.

Why my camera wont turn on?

Hello.
When the two led's blink, that is telling you that the batteries are dead. Try replacing the batteries with FRESH ones and that should help.

Error msg fuji s2

couple of things:
I take it that "Err" shows on the display ? This can be caused by a number of things, including the aperture ring on the lense being in the wrong position. Make sure its set to the orange number. The 'err' message isnt generally shown for a power problem. If you have a DC power lead, attach that and see if you can get the camera to work.
Batteries are a nightmare for the S2.
Firstly, if looking for rechargeable AA's, you need at least 2300mAh. Maplin are doing a good deal till the end of the month on them; http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=46414
If you have the small lithium batteries in, then take them out. If the camera senses that they are in there, it will try and use them -even if they are depleted. You can replace them with CR123a batteries, but unless you want to use the on-camera flash, I wouldnt bother. DONT BUY RECHARGEABLE CR123A s !! They do not have anywhere near enough power.
Summary; Check aperture ring remove/replace CR123a (High quality replacement) Use high power AA's

Batteries fot Optio S50

Because digital cameras require such a high amount of current it is not recommended to use Alkaline batteries. My best suggestion would be to purchase rechargeable batteries that meet the following requirements. (AA Rechargeable Batteries with a minimum of 1800mAh (or higher) Nickel MetalHydride 1.2V). or (Panasonic CR-V3 3V Lithium Battery)

Battery life expectancy

The battery life of AA alkaline batteries varies according to the manufacturer and power rating. Alkaline batteries can provide up to 100 shots with typical usage. Olympus NiMH batteries (B-01 4PE) provide approximately 250 shots per charge and can be recharged 300 to 500 times. Olympus recommends the use of CR-3V batteries or NiMH batteries. Olympus sells an NiMH Battery set which includes a charger and set of 4-NiMH batteries. You can purchase this through Olympus dealers or through the Olympus Emporium (www.olympusamerica.com/store).
