See if camera electronics can be reset. Contact the manufacturer for this procedure. If nothing can be done to restore camera to factory defaults then the electronics are fubar. May not be cost effective to repair.
I opened "System" then click Hardware, click Device manager, from the "Action", click "scan for hardware changes". It's done, the computer recognized it. thanks also..
If the camera is not recognized on any other computers it's hooked up to either, your best bet is to take the SD card out, put it in a card reader, and plug that into your computer. If the card still works, you should be able to pull all of your pictures off--probably way faster than using the data cable too. If your card is an SDHC card, make sure your reader can read SDHC. Most laptops made in the last 3 years have card readers, but they might not read SDHC cards. You should be able to pick one up for $5-10 at the store.
If you have windows movie maker (its part of the default installation of windows XP) you can use the rotate filter in the video effects tools.
Import your video into movie maker and select "Video Effects" under tools. Scroll through the various effects until you find the "rotate 90". Apply the effect and save the video.
