This is a year old z910a lawn mower from john deere when i pull the button to engage the blades somtimes they kick on sometimes they do not .. Any help as to what may ne causeing this
Check your key switch. Unplug the harness connector from the switch and look for trash in between the terminals. It will short it out. I had 2 like this recently, mine being one of them. Use a plastic brush when cleaning. Wire brushes will short out the system and blow fuses. Hope it helps, Ronnie
U check the battery? It could be dying, loose or rusted connections for power conductivities, could be that simple.

We haven't fixed the problem yet....but will probably go to our John Deere store to talk to them there to fix it.
If we give you the solution to this type of problem, are you going to pay us what you wanted us to pay you for the the answer?

Remember the belt rule, V of the belt goes in V pulleys.Flat pulleys that are stationary or move get the back of the belt. You can figure it out. Its not rocket science. Remember at some point there has to be a tensioner, usually gets the back of the belt if its a flat pulley. U may have to remove the spring and then reattach the spring after the belt is routed.
