Get another brand. Hayward is junk. I had the same exact thing happen. Of course warranty is only one year. I paid out of pocket to replace the motor. Guess what happened 2 years later?

Pump shuts off in very hot weather

might have the wrong motor on it, themotor hp and SF sevice facto determin the total HP output of the motor. so say it's a 1hp with a 1.65 sf it's a 1.65 hp motor ..the impeller detrmins the hp needed, it should have numbers and letters on it. welcome to my world fun huh

some pumps are 24hr 7days pumps some are not and should be on a timer. time usually run for 8 hours max a day. you can get a time from most pool leisure places. the pump will say if its a 24hr pump if not then would say its a timer type.

Started filter yesterday for 4 hours and then shut it off. do i need to do anything different when i restart it today?

no just turn it on pumps and filters are sized to turn over the pool volume in 6 hours so install a flow meter or just let the pump run for 6 hours to be safe

Your pump is protected by a thermal device that shuts it off when over heated. Are you running 110 or 220? In my experience, your pump will run cooler on 220 ... consider coverting if appropriate.

How oprates the timmer in my 2500 gph intex filter pump

When the timer mode is set it will only run for the hours you have the knob positioned to. It will then shut off. You will need to restart it everytime.

Intex pool filter/ pump just stopped working

Try giving your pump more air circulation.
Turn off pump when not around it.(should only need to run for around 3 - 4 hours on a small (kid) pool 6 - 8 hours for standard house pool
You could put you pump on a timmer - set shut off time to just before you pump shuts down.
Check you pump (when not conected to mains power) - get some WD40 into it - (salt and metal no like each other)

I have a dream maker x-500. 2007, 220V. Up to this point everything worked fine. Now the temperature is regulated only to 25 degrees and above. Below is impossible. What could have gone wrong? possible its on celcius try holding up and down at same time see if changes to f if not bad board
