I cannot get my opticon barcode reader to work with my wirless keyboard. I have a Dell computer, and a Microsoft wireless keyboard I have the hand-held CCD Wedge Interface (25-wedge-06 Opticon Bar code reader.

It happened to me once. I basically reboot the opticon. and upload the data to the opticon again. and problem solved.

usually there are no settings as most computers see the barcode and crdit card scanners as keyboard/input devices. unless the manufacture has additional software and drivers the device is simply an input capture device.

Observe that the computer or keyboards are wirless compartible. Usually, microsoft wireless devices either keyboard ro mouses least captures functionlity with apple mac that may also be wireless. Also ascertain the devices innovativeness. get your manual and scan in the appropriate "host" option. You will have to scan in the "USB host" barcode. There may be more than one. Your scanner should be set to the HID usb Keyboard option. Go to hardware/software manager and click the check mark so the wirless keyboard and mouse can actually gain access to your computer

you mentioned you changed the keyboard, so it means u got another keyboard and new drivers, if it not working its beacuse new drivers for other keyboard are installed on pc, uninstall the new drivers and install the dell wirless driver, restart the system try again.

Keyboard and mouse have no connection with Monitor
Since keyboard and all are linked with mother board

so firstly i suggest you yo check the wireless connections are ok

Now reinstall the software packages that came with the keyboard(And drivers)

Make sure the keyboard/mouse receiver is connected to the keyboard port on the KVM -- there is an embossed icon near each port -- mouse and keyboard.
