Fridge worked perfect for 3yrs, one day i took everything out of the fridge side (left freezer door closed) to clean it, left the fridge door open for about 30 minutes as i cleaned the shelves, cripser etc. Next day the fridge side stopped cooling but the freezer side was normal temp and making ice. Unplugged the unit for one day, plugged it back in and it worked perfect for 2 weeks, after that both sides (fridge and freezer) stopped working.
Freezer temp when up... unplugged fridge then plugged it back in. Now freezer is working but fridge side is not staying cool. Flashing on 4 temp setting and won't let you adjust.Freezer temp when up... unplugged fridge then plugged it back in. Now freezer is working but fridge side is not staying cool. The part number you need is going to be WR09X10050. This is for the damper assembly, but while you are at it change out part number WR55X10150. this is the part that controls the damper and more than likely if one fails the other will be soon to follow
Try removing everything out of your fridge, switch it off and open all doors for 12 hrs. Then close doors and switch it on for another 24 hrs before putting in you stuff. most likely the evaporator is iced up, you need to defrost if fully.
turn the freezer side to zero fridge side will zero also . click for water it should work . just worked for me no water for 1month replaced the filter and everything.
If you are sure the fan in the freezer is running and you don't feel any air flow out of the top middle vent inside the fridge section, then the damper motor must be bad. The damper motor is behind that vent cover inside the fridge section.
HI I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM THAT YOU ARE...I NOTICED THAT THE FRIDGE DOOR WAS OUT OF LINE WITH THE FREEZER DOOR AT THE TOP...IF THE FRIDGE WAS EMPTY IT WORKED FINE, BUT WHEN WE REFILLED IT,IT WOULD STOP COOLING AGAIN,I THINK IT'S GOT TO DO WITH THE WEIGHT ON THE DOOR MAKING THE DIFFERENCE IN MY CASE...I BELIEVE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE SWITCH AT THE TOP, INSIDE THE FRIDGE THAT OPERATES THE LIGHT AND THE TEMP CONTROL IN MY CASE.TRY OPENING THE DOOR JUST A LITTLE SO THAT YOU CAN SEE IF THE SWITCH IS BEING FULLY CLOSED...I THINK I'M GOING TO HAVE TO ADJUST MY FRIDGE DOOR UP TO GET IT TO DO THIS FOR ME...WILL LET YOU KNOW IF THIS WORKS!!!!!
