I used to work on Windows. I have the DCP-130C (HP) installed on it works fine. I have now switched to Apple. Can I just install the Software, which was for windows on my Apple? Or do I need to download some special drivers? Thanks Koos
You should have the drivers as standard, press the apple key and P together and you will get the print window, select add printer and the browse printer button and (with printer plugged in and switched on) you should see your printer, select it and off you go
You cannot use the Windows driver on a Mac.
Your Mac might be able to set this up automatically.
Connect the printer to your Mac and and switch it on.
Go to Apple Menu (the apple icon in the top left of the menu bar)
Choose System Preferences and then Print & Fax
In the left side of the screen there is a little + - at the bottom corner. Press +
This will open a new window and the Mac will scan to look for printers. Your printer should show up. Select it and press add.
If it does not show up, then you may need the driver. This is available for download on the Brother website.
Koos-
Most likely the software will NOT work in your Mac, unless the drivers in the CD are for both Windows and PC. My recomendation is to go to the Brother site, here is the link http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/dlf/download_top.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=dcp130c_all
and go from there. Good luck Koos!
