I need to install the Driver for my DCP Scanner 130C on a MAC

I used to work on Windows. I have the DCP-130C (HP) installed on it works fine. I have now switched to Apple. Can I just install the Software, which was for windows on my Apple? Or do I need to download some special drivers? Thanks Koos

You should have the drivers as standard, press the apple key and P together and you will get the print window, select add printer and the browse printer button and (with printer plugged in and switched on) you should see your printer, select it and off you go

You cannot use the Windows driver on a Mac.
Your Mac might be able to set this up automatically.
Connect the printer to your Mac and and switch it on.
Go to Apple Menu (the apple icon in the top left of the menu bar)
Choose System Preferences and then Print & Fax
In the left side of the screen there is a little + - at the bottom corner. Press +
This will open a new window and the Mac will scan to look for printers. Your printer should show up. Select it and press add.
If it does not show up, then you may need the driver. This is available for download on the Brother website.

Koos-
Most likely the software will NOT work in your Mac, unless the drivers in the CD are for both Windows and PC. My recomendation is to go to the Brother site, here is the link http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/dlf/download_top.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=dcp130c_all
and go from there. Good luck Koos!

How to download a printer and scanner model of BROTHER DCP-130C?

OK go here and choose the correct driver for your operating system and download. You simply click on the Download button, and save the file to a convenient location, and then install, by double clicking the received file.

Do i need a disk to install this printer Brother DCP-130C to my pc or do i just need the usb wire?

Hi
You not have to have a disk, but you have to have a driver for it to work, I have a driver set-up, I have a XP Brother DCP-130C driver for you for your printer but you may need WinZip to open the file so you can run it. After you opened the file you will have a folder open folder inside will see 2 other folders open the set-up folder and you see in there other folders click on the ChnEng to open it inside this will be the setup.exe file double click on it and it will install the driver for you. And yes you still need your USB lead.

Download your driver from my website click on the link and it will download for you. Link= http://www.4all2sell.com/driver/Brother DCP-130C .EXE

I HAVE BROTHER PRINTER DCP-130C BUT NO INSTALLER

here is where you can find the driver for what your looking for CLICK HERE
Its easy,

1.:Chose "Brother" for option one
2.: Chose DCP 130 C for option 2
3. Chose your oprating system, (what version of windows you got)

Download, and then install.. you will probably have to unplug the printer from your comptuer b4 installing the driver, then plugging it back up after you have installed the driver, then it should auto install itself.

Driver-mac

you need to use generic driver for MAC... What kind of MAC OS are you using? MAC 10 have the drivers installed on the computer and you don't need to install the software.

Hey there, I was trying to

I guess I found a solution for the problem.
I also got this error message after installing ControlCenter3. Failed to start ControlCentre3 - re-install software, with the error No CC3-001-00001907. The numbers at the end can change, but that's not important.
I have two laptops running vista. I got this error with the 1st laptop. Then I tried it with the second laptop, it worked fine. That made me think: On the first laptop I had tried to install the ControlCenter3 from the CD, but it turned out that the CD did not support Vista. Then I got the vista driver/ControlCenter3 package from the Brother website. This is the one that did not work on laptop one. What I then guessed was, that I had some ugly remains from the installation of the old driver (not for vista). I started cleaning the registry. First of all I run the driver uninstall program from Brother (free from their website) then I cleaned the registry with CCleaner (freeware). Still that was not enough. I started the regedit program and started searching for the term Brother. It was still there in about 10 or more places. I deleted all records that were connected with my brother printer (a DCP-130C). Then I run CCleaner once more. Then I installed the vista driver package (from brother website). Restarted and voila: it worked. ControlCenter3 workes fine now. I started the ControlCenter3 update (also on brother website) and finally with the scanner utility put the scanner resolution limit up higher. That's it.
Before working with the registry make a backup, please.
This procedure should also work for other brother printers using the controlcenter3. It should also work for other systems than vista.
Cheers, hope this was helpful.

Brother DCP-1300

If you have Vista you will need a Windows Vista Driver CD-ROM and not the DCP-130C MLF-Pro Suite CD-ROM Both should be with the printer.
