Whirlpool RBD305PD has error F2E6 error on control panel

We have a Whirlpool electric double oven model # RBD305PD. Out of the blue, it started to beep and there is no digital display on the control panel -- just an error code F2 E6. Sometimes it just goes black, and sometimes it comes back to life with beeping and the same error message!

I tried the breakers over night & still didn't work.

Any smart tech experts out there who can help me fix this?? Thanks!

When this code appears and display is going blank too, it is always the control board. The only option is to buy a new one or get it repaired. It can be fixed quickly and reliably. www.fixyourboard.com

F2 - E6 Cancel key drive line open

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Hi - I have a whirlpool gold series electric double oven. The error message is E1 F2. Anyone know how to fix this?

it could be the following
Taking a Quick Look
The E1 F2 error message indicates the control board thinks the touch panel has been unplugged from the board or it cannot read the switches.
How it Works
The panels on these ovens utilizes a switching matrix to constantly monitor all the buttons for a key press. By using a matrix for switch input, many buttons can be read by the processor using very few wires. The unfortunate side of a switch matrix is if any one wire becomes damaged, an entire row of switches on the matrix will no longer be usable since they cannot be seen by the control board.

advise
getting a qualified engineer to check this touch panel and suspect touch panel maybe defective and need replacing.

I hope this was helpful

Whirlpool electric double oven #RBD305PDQ14 control panel blank

I suspect a poor connection at the wiring to the EOC is the cause of the failures.

Whirlpool Gold Series double oven electric model GBD307-PDQ309

Usually this is a touchpad and control panel fault but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.

With the model number of the oven we could look up the code and be more specific about the problem.

Whirlpool Double Oven RBD305 Display doesn't show, oven wont work

Most definitely a bad control board and/or soldered components. (The part about cutting power to the oven was a dead giveaway)
There are low and high temperature solders, but usually solder melts at 370° F. If the oven is improperly insulated or ventilated you will have continued heat stress to the control board.
