Hi Anonymous, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? --Is the mic comes with the radio or a new one? --Do you hear the sound only when you press the mic and once you release it's off again?

have the same idea with Laron and Walker...that the microphone may be wrongly wired. Have the pin opened and play around with the wiring therein to identify the receiving and transmission wires. When got it correct, you will hear sound when not keying and able to transmit when press on the PTT button.

I would assume you have wired it incorrectly or have tried another 4 pin mic such as an midland which are wire differently for the galaxy, ranger, connex, cobra an undien 4 pin mics. Galaxy Radios DX959 MOSFET Final Service Manual

Hi, got this info from philips customer service. Was desperately trying to get the karaoke function to work for 2 weeks! Plug in your microphone. Press "KARAOKE" button until you see "MIC OFF" text, and immediately press RIGHT button. It will now shows "MIC ON"! "ECHO", "KEY" options will now shows up when pressing "KARAOKE" button repeatedly. However, microphone sound will not be available on digital output, you'll have to use the audio RCA. Happy singing!

I can not figure out how to put in discovery mode when turning on

close the mic and hold down the button until it becomes purple. Open the mic and it should stay steady lit purple. Then you can pair it with your phone. I found the manual online because I had lost mine as well. Also, make sure any old phone you were using it with is off so it does not connect with that one. Good luck!

No picture after resetting by pressing stop button for 20 sec

Problem fixed: I realized that the problem was that with resetting the player it defaulted to the standard video ouput ie no longer sending signal through the component video. I used a standard video cable and connected player to tv with that and it had a picture. Then I changed the setting to progressive output and got picture signal through the component cable again.
