Change from nokia n95 to new mobile want to save contacts to sim

If you have done a back up of your phone prior to update your Nokia N95 system, then simply connect your Nokia through the Connection Manager, and use the restore function. Doing this will restore all the files that were backed up before.

In regards to your contacts, your SIM card should have copies of your contacts saved on it. This can be done by going to Contacts > Options > SIM Contact > Sim Directory and just copy all the contacts to your phone.

Unfortunately there is no other methods to restore messages and contacts, if you haven't backed up prior to the system update and saved contacts to your SIM card. Just remember to do a regular backup and always copy contacts to your SIM card.

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call your phone service company, they can retrieve the puk code from a database
for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM.


The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone should not ask for the PUK anymore.

YOU SHOULD NEED TO COPY ALL CONTACTS OF N95 IN A SIM CARD THEN APPLY IT SAMSUNG THEIR WILL BE AN OPTION POPING WOULD U LIKE TO COPY ALL UR SIM CONTACTS TO UR MOBILE..........

N95 does not save contacts to sim automatically. But onnce you have saved a contact to your phone memory, then you can select OPTION and MARK the contact and then OPTION again and select copy to sim. You can do 1 or multiple contact copy to sim. But remember that the sim card holds only 250 numbers

the n95 saves the contact in a file format that allows the device to "back up" the contacts. The device that you are switching to must have this same feature otherwise it wont work that way. you will be better off copying the numbers to your sim card and simply placing that sim card in your new device. or you can try to transfer them through bluetooth

have u installed the nokia pc suite in your computer.
or else if u dont use ur computer u can also
have the problem solved with your phone itself.

hte thing is...ur phone is handset bundled offer phone..so til the validity ends on ur new sim card..the phone is designed to detect only new sim..so ucant change til validity ends...or u may approach any private local mobile repair shop..i wont cost u much..

First of all the default password for the phones are 1122, secondly about the sim restarting problems, u know its all about network, chinese mobile have put there own configurations in these mobiles, therefore before using your phone, start it without sim and reset factory default.. delete all network configurations and then put your sim and start your phone.. if the problem continues then try putting your sim in another mobile phone and reset factory default for the other phone.. then put the sim again in the nokia or nokLa.. You should get your PUK number from your service provider... no one else have it
