GReen light keeps flashing and my printer wont print

My printer wont print and the green light keeps flashing.

Two options
1)either any of the printer cartridge is faulty.remove the cartridge and clean it with tissue paper.
2)or the printouts are pending in printque.delete all the printouts and then try .
any one of the above options will solve the problem.
if cleaning the cartridge does not solve that means it faulty so replacement of cartridge is necessary.

    cartridges get short at any time.due to humidity or moisture gets collected on its circuit.many other reasons.you can take a example of a bulb.it has a filament which breaks any time.you cannot say it was working just before a second and now it stopped.in a bulb we can see the filament because its a single filament and we can see the pieces.in cartridge there are about 540 filaments which makes a complete circuit.and we cannot identify which got cut off or short.

The red light is blinking and it doesn't print.

There are actually some certain meaning on the red light and green light showing different information to user. The summaries are:
1) Green On, Red Off = Printer Ready.
2) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Fast-Flashing = Printer warm up.
3) Green Fast-Flashing, Red Off = Printer off-line.
4) Green Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Processing Data.
5) Green Off, Red On = Cover Opened, Toner Empty or Developer Unit / Drum unit missing.
6) Green Off, Red Fast-Flashing = Paper Jam or waiting for jam reset.
7) Green Off, Red Slow-Flashing = Paper Empty or Paper tray is not inserted.
8) Green Off, Red Off = Printer power is off.
9) Green Very-Slow-Flashing, Red Off = Printer in sleep mode.
10) Green (any condition above), Red Slow-Flashing = Toner low or paper empty.

GREEN LIGHT KEEPS FLASHING ON MY PRINTER

Green light flashing means printer is in printing process. No problem. If you want to stop printing. delete printing job from printer properties or stop printing from status monitor.

Operator Error Canon i850 printer

Start with the printer OFF

1. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
2. Release RESUME
3. Press RESUME twice, then release POWER
4. Let green light blink until printer is done futzing

Select function with RESUME press POWER to execute:
presses - light color - function

Number of presses - light color - function
0 presses - green - Test print (or exit service mode on i960)
1 press - orange - EEPROM info print (plus grid nozzle diagnostic on i850)
2 presses - green - EEPROM initialize
3 presses - orange - Reset waste ink counter
