Question about Whirlpool RBS275PD Electric Single Oven

I cannot get the oven to come on after I used the self cleaning.

thermostat will not raise.
the up arrow lowers the temp. will not heat

Things to check- The screw in fuses, they are usually the 30 amp fuses for the oven. Next is the clock assembly, often these clocks will have the words "push for manual" or "turn for manual", this will put the clock back into the normal operating mode rather than the automatic mode. Next, you may have to remove the power and check for any burnt wires. If all checks ok, you will have to test the selector switch and oven control.
Oven temp problems: Temperature is too low possible trouble makers, blown oven fuse, bake element is out, burnt wire, oven probe clips, oven temp control, oven temp sensor.
Temperature is too high in the oven possible trouble makers, oven temp control, oven relay ( if used ), oven probe clips, oven temp sensor, shorted wire.
These oven probe clips often rust off and the oven temp probe hangs down, or touches the oven wall giving false temperature readings to the oven control.

General Electric oven how to reset thermostat

First of all, most oven thermometers move very slowly compared to the electronic sensors and controls on the oven. To make sure you are getting an accurate reading, the thermometer should be in the center of the oven, the oven should be preheated, then wait another 20 minutes after the preheat beep. If the temperature is less than 35 degrees higher or lower at this point, it can be adjusted via the controls. Usually on GE ovens you press and hold bake and broil at the same time until SF comes up in the display. Then press bake, then use the arrow keys to raise or lower the temperature setting. If the temperature is more than 35 degrees off, you may have a bad sensor, bad control board, or other problem.

Whirlpool oven RBS245prs....did a self clean.....after completed cleaning the broiler or bake element will not heat up......oven display temp and pre-heat time but neither element will work

No, the self-cleaning cycle is automatic, and will raise the heat in the oven to a very high temp (500°F-600°F) then cool the oven.

It is adjustable. Pull off the temperature knob behind it you will find the adjustment to raise or lower the temp. You will need an oven thermometer to test after you adjust.

Oven wont heat

That depends if the oven is electric or gas.

If it is electric, it can be heating element, temp probe, or control knob/buttons, board and wiring.

If it is gas it can be the igniter (check spark) , the thermostat, the safety valve that prevents accidental gas flow, or the control.

If the oven has self cleaning cycle, check that it is not stuck on self cleaning, try unplugging for a while and restarting self cleaning cycle in that case.

I forgot how to set thermostat in wall oven

press bake, then press the up or down arrow for the temperature. Or press broil then the up arrow for a temp. of 550 F. Press cancel when food is done.
