I have a Samsung LN46A630 and I normally use it to watch tv through a coax antenna. Normally all channels (digital and analog) show just fine. After I bought the TV I also got a Phillips 5 disc hdmi dvd player with sound system. I have found that if I turn on the dvd player while watching the tv I get a "weak or no signal" message on all of the digital channels. All the analog channels work fine.
Any suggestions on how to fix this without simply turning off the DVD player? (I want to use the dvd player to play sound for the tv).
So to reiterate.
1. TV is connected to antaenna via coax.
2. TV is connected to DVD player via HDMI cable.
When DVD player is off all channels work fine and I have great signal strength.
When DVD player is on I get a "weak or no signal" message for all digital channels.

Based upon your response I have been able to diagnose the problem further. My DVD player is a panasonic dvd player with a digital transmitter (for the rear speakers). If I unplug the digital transmitter box from the DVD player then my digital antennae signal comes through fine. So the DVD players digital transmitter is causing my tv to not recognize my digital antannae signal.
Is your recommendation still to move the DVD player away from the TV? I really cant move it must farther away. The TV is on a TV stand and the dvd player is in the first shelf underneath the TV. Is their a way I can shield the tv from the DVD player?
No problems with the other channels after the switch over to digital, only SBS channels has no signals
