When I go to use the wand separately I have no suction. vacuum works fine otherwise/
There is a ball valve between the wand hose and the base hose. It can get stuck in the "base" mode, which won't then redirect suction to the wand hose. There is a spring under the cup that the open end of the hose rests in. When you release the wand from the holster with the one-touch quick release, that spring pushes the cup up and turns the ball valve to the wand setting.
Thankyou , this solved my problem . Now to find a way to stop that valve sticking. I am thinking graphite powder
This worked for me also. Thank you!!
Very helpful, worked exactly as you described. Thank you!
You were right. This fix worked on the first try and I'm back to cleaning. Thank you!
This worked! Thanks! I got stuck on #4, and I would make this change in terms to match manual:
4. Release (by using quarter turn to the left) the hose from the "valve clean out area" (where the hose inserts beneath the wand insert [ie, beneath serial # sticker]).
After that, I just use my fingers to open the valve.
I have model EE8802, opened up the valve and there is nothing to turn. Seems like it is one solid piece. Help!
This worked for me, I used a good amount of amsoil silicone spray an worked the valve by hand for a bit , it has been working fine since then!
The solution was excellent. It described how to solve the issue. What would have helped even more is how to prevent this happening I.e. Using a spray (eg WD40) to prevent reoccurrence.
THANK YOU!! Such an easy fix. Could not find the solution on YouTube - but you described it so well that no video needed! Although if this happens again, I might make a video. Appreciate it!
Soooo grateful for this post!
I still can't get the valve opened
Wanted to thank Homschool Mama for advice! Saved my vacuum! This is exactly what helped me:

Remove the base hose from the main unit using the quick disconnect feature. Put your fingers into the hole and feel to the right. You will feel the closed valve, verifying that it is stuck in "base" mode.
Using a screwdriver, insert the tip at the TOP of this valve and gently pry it downward. This shouldn't take much force.
The only correction I made is that initial comment said "Remove the base hose from the main unit using the quick disconnect feature." where it's actually base hose needs to be disconnected at that thing on the right is in the hole where you attach the base hose.
Also I didn't need to use a screwdriver, just pushed with my fingers, it worked!
Thanks again!

The answer that Homschool Mama posted worked for me. Mine has been sticking but usually I could press down where the wand normally rests. But I couldn't get that to work this time. If anyone has any suggestions to prevent it from sticking please post.
SOURCE: NO SUCTION
If you have no suction, there are only a couple of things that could cause it. As you have checked for blockage, and changed your filters, you may have a vacuum motor with bad bearings, or broken fan blades (inside/on the vacuum motor). Either symptom points towards a vacuum motor being bad and needing replaced.
