ok, seems like LOTS of people are having this issue. I have not been able to log into my other yahoo account since Friday! I have contacted yahoo through email and phone and they have not been any help. they said that the issue is not on their side which is obviously wrong because so many of us are having the same issue.

Please call their customer service number. If more people call to report this issue, maybe they will actually do something!

I Can't access my e-mail service past 3days. There is a message from the Yahoo Team that begins "Sorry for the inconvenience, you've stumbled upon a temporary problem we're having with the e-mail service". It then advises possible courses of action, all of which I've tried, including the Link to Customer Care at Error 5

I think you might be able to use a mail program like windows mail or incredimail (free download) and then import your yahoo stuff, Yahoo is a pop server so you should be able to open windows mail create a new account and get the server information from yahoo support, I know the one will probably be pop.yahoo.com and the smtp server should be smtp.yahoo.com not too sure but give it a shot...Steve

Check your computer for malware, because you should be logging on with https, and not an unsecure connection. Free options i suggest are avast antivirus, www.avast.com, and ad-aware, www.lavasoft.com.

Additionally, you may want to see if you have the same error with a different browser, such as mozilla's firefox, www.firefox.com
