When I bought the car the man had a cable coming from the back of the unit and I would just plug in my I pod and play. I had to put the source on AUX. well I had to jump start my car yesterday and now when I switch to AUX it say M-CD. I don't know where AUX went to. I go and switch to CD and that works then go to Tuner and the radio FM works fine but the AUX won't show up. I don't know how he did it by hooking the Ipod cable to the back but it has been working awsome until yesterday
Hi nhmteam. I have the solution for you: 1. With your DEH-P3000 turned off, press your FUNCtion button. It's a tiny button towards the upper right of the faceplate. Hold it down until you "ALARM OFF" or "ALARM ON" on the display. Release the button. 2. Press the FUNCtion button again and you should see another feature. I don't remember how many features you need to cycle through, but keep releasing and pressing the FUNCtion button until you see "M-CD ON" on the display. If you miss it just keep going and eventually it will come back. 3. On the right side of your faceplate there is a button with 4 arrows. You will need to push the up or down arrow until the display reads "M-CD OFF". If your display already reads "M-CD OFF", kip to the next step. 4. Press and release the FUNCtion button again and you should see "AUX OFF" on the display. Again press the up or down arrow until the display reads "AUX ON". 5. Now, turn on your unit, then press the INPUT button until the display reads "AUX". You are now ready to use your iPod in the way you always did. Keep these instructions for the future since I believe every time you disconnect the unit from the battery the unit will reset itself and disable your iPod cord. Best regards - TomR

You will need to reset the radio. The best way to do this is to remove the battery cable for about an hour and retry it. If that does not work, you have a problem in the microprocessor, but the resetting should work. Good Luck

We inherited this stereo (Pioneer DEH-P3000) with a used car and felt the need to hook up an aux cord to use with an iPod. We bought a Peripheral Connex2Car aux cable and could not figure out how to make the radio recognize it. (BTW, clock setting was a mystery as well.) Thanks to this post, the aux cable is installed, the clock is set and we are happily listening to our iPod/Pioneer! Thank you so much!

I have a pioneer deh-2050mpg model (1 din) installed in my car, it consists of an AUX in port. I need to know whether this Aux in port supports mp3 decode so that I can use a Aux in to USB cable to connect a usb to play mp3's .. I read the manual as well it haven't mention such
