Download driver sound

Did you install the chipset driver first? ...and are you sure you downloaded the correct audio driver?

we need to trace your Sound driver and chipset. all you have to do. download first the ASTRA32 at google. download it and install to your computer. this is a hardware detector..if what the sound chipset you have. if you already found your sound chipset. you can search it agin to a google. there's a lot of sound driver there

yes there are seperate versions for 32bit and 64 bit . check on majorgeeks.com for the drivers, also check cnet downloads for drivers. If the mother board is more than 5yrs old you might not find the 32 bit drivers on the manufacturer's website. also check microsoft , if they have any drivers for that motherboard. good luck

If it is an ONBOARD SOUND DRIVER (not a sound CARD installed into a PCI slot on MOBO)
go to ASUS website and download CHIPSET drivers (these contain the onboard sound, onboard video, etc.) make sure you get the right one which matches YOUR CHIPSET.
google "EVEREST HOME EDITION, LAST FREE VERSION, 321" and download it. RUN IT>
it will identify your CHIPSET and everything else.
also, ASUS may have on online tool to identify your CHIPSET.

sounds like you don't have the chipset drivers installed, if it is intel chipset, go to intel to download chipset drivers

if it is Nvidia VIA or AMD chipsets similarly go to the appropriate website and download the chipset drivers for that system
