Is a columbia watch still waterproof after you change the battery?

If watch expensive, take it to Shop to get it changed , if watch waterproof, it needs to be changed at a shop, as when battery changed , shop checks that the watch is still 100% waterproof.

cl 5017 is not a battery code or size, try bring your actual battery or your watch on watch service centers. they probably have your battery.

To be honest, I would send back to Columbia. Water resistant watches are not only tricky, but you risk losing the warranty on your watch as well.

You can remove it with a pocket knife and it will pop out but the problem will be putting it back and that is only done with pressure that is put under a machine.If you go to a flea mkt they will do it for $5-7.00 for the battery and the cover pressure is free once the battery is changed.So make sure you get a good long time warranty battery so you dont have to change the battery frequently.

Open watch caseback. Undo the contact covering the battery. Read the writings on battery and buy exactly the same one. Get the old battery out and replace with the new one exactly the same way as it was. Redo the contact. Put caseback back on. Reset the watch.

Yes you can adjust digital quartz watches,there be a trimmer inside to adjust the fast and slow.,but that is last option to do if nothing happens.I think when changing the battery you did not clean the battery terminals,so that film residue will gone out.Film residue comes from the liquid comes out from the old battery.this is the most common problem of the battery.After all you clean,next is short ,the terminals.If you forgot this step this is very problem at all,the not working so you better watch out.
