512MB SD card is the maximum with early versions of firmware.

To check firmware version in camera:-

switch on, press MENU.

select 'Setup' and then select the '1' tab (it may be the only choice, depends on which shooting mode was set)

Press Macro button and the firmware version is displayed.

If it is 1.02 or lower the you need to upgrade to version 1.03.

Then you can use 2GB SD cards.

The firmware is readily available from several websites. You will need a 512MB or lower card to do the upgrade.

The Dimage Z3 accept SD cards up to 1GB (Minolta says 512 Mb, and sold it with 16Mb). This camera is 4MP , and uses less memory on card, therefore a 512MB card will be enough for it.

SanDisk Flash memory card - 512 MB SD Memory ...

from $13 - 20 stores

PNY Flash memory card - 512 MB SD Memory Card ...

from $3 - 2 stores

SanDisk SD Industrial Flash memory card - 512 ... from $14

Here 1 Gb, try at your risk, but they normally work:

1GB micro SD memory card for Konica Minolta ...

£6.90 - www.mobile-laden.co.uk

1GB Flash Memory Upgrade Card for Konica ... £3.44 - Memory Express

My z720 will no accept a new 8G 0r even a 4G memory card, in the past I have used and still use a 2G card and it works ok.

Your camera works with MMC and SD cards. Your 4GB and 8GB cards are actually SDHC cards. While they will fit into the slot, SDHC cards are electronically incompatible and will not work in SD devices. You need to stay with cards 2GB and smaller.

Place the card into your phone...
To format a memory card, select Menu > Gallery or Applications, the memory card folder , and Options > Format mem. card > Yes.
When formatting is complete, enter a name for the memory card.

Hi,just bought a 4gb sd card for my digimax s600 but it won,t work.when i switch on camera, screen says..format..yes.confirm ok.when i do this i get check sd card . i put in old card it works fine??..

Does your camera support SD HC? Anything above a 2gb SD card is concider a HC; so if your camera can't support HC format then you can not use that card.

Re-format it. Put the SanDisk 2GB microSD memory card into your LG enV2 and format it from there. If that does not work plug it into your laptop then right click the icon and format it to FAT and click on default settings.

2 GB SD CARD WON'T WORK IN MY Z3.

There is also a firmware update for the camera on the Konica-Minolta website. I have not been able to get the update to work following the directions provided. This update is supposed to fix the 2GB limit. Maybe you will have better luck getting it to work.
