Try to cancel a function on my phone

    I don't want to change it to english I wrote what was on my screen, since it was in french I told you what I was seeing and I translate to you what it means, so you understand since you are an english site. So in onother word I want teh Appel reçu APPELS take off my screen.

    it's not working I think you don't understand, on my sreen it's says ''appel reçu'' & APPELS and if I press on it it's asking me my password , when I do my password it says wrong password. But when I go in my message with my password after doing function 986 it's says no messages.I just want to take ''appel reçu'' and ''APPELS '' off my sreen.

    I think you are doing on purpose , because it's says free, but it's not really free, so you say you cannot help so we pay the price after. Sorry but your not been fare!

    yes I tried it, and it says no message, but my sreen still show "appel recu" and "APPELS"



    appel recu means: call received



    and APPELS means : CALLS

    Thank you for your great help , I don't know why it seems I have another box with another password I tried different one and it work and the unction 806 show my date and time thank you I will recommand you. thank you again!

    How can we just take off the call log rom the set, someone in the office wanted to transfer the calls because I was sixk and they plau with the phone. Still that time my phone regester all the call taht come ins. but at least I found the password to delete them. Thank you for your help.

If you are French it means: Appel reçu
If you are English it means: Call Received

To change your phone back to English, goto the set giving you issues
-> press the FEATURE button
-> dial * 5 0 1

This will change your telephone set back to the English language.

    Je suis désolé, je pense que vous avez été changé en Anglais et en Français à votre jeu.



    Ok, you want the take that message off your set; it sounds like there is an active Call Log, have you to press FEATURE 8 1 2 and look at the information.



    Or try FEATURE # 6 5 to shut off a message waiting.



    Never hear of a Call Received?

    I am testing ~ trying to get the same response here on my test phone system, I think I know what it is, but cannot duplicate the same response that you are receiving yet... I get Message - MESS



    It is possible that someone created you as their call notification extension, The voicemail then calls you to sent you a notification when they received a message... when you press call it puts you in thier mailbox, not your mailbox.



    I am working on it... and No I not getting paid for this service, I am just a technician that likes to help out.



    For the time being, if you want most of the message to be removed, press FEATURE 8 0 6 (this is static time and date)

    Ok ~ I duplicated your issue...

    You have a Call Log!



    Meaning, when you receive a call that you did not answer, your telephone set will record the missed phone call.



    To get rid of this message you have to go to the set,

    -> dial FEATURE 8 1 2...

    -> if you see Password here, try 1 2 3 4 or maybe 1 1 1 1... try some simple passwords:

    Like - 0 0 0 0, 4 3 2 1, 2 5 8 0, 1 3 7 9, etc.



    If you cannot get in still, this password can be removed by your Nortel Telephone Provider. Unfortunately there is nothing more that I can offer you. This is the solution to your problem.



    Like I said before, to show the time and date still, you can dial FEATURE 8 0 6 and this will show the time and date on the telephone set.

    Your Welcome,



    The FEATURE 8 1 2 is to gain access to see your call logs, and there is a password for just this feature on your phone, for security; so no one can see which calls were missed...



    If you cannot access in to the call log, there is a location that you can tell your Norstar BCM Technician to go to fix this...



    Under: CONFIGURATION -> TELEPHONY -> SETS -> ACTIVE SETS -> there is a tab to RESET CALL LOG PASSWORD.

    When the technician presses this; your password will go away, so when you press Feature 812, it will get you right in to you call logs.

    No password required.

If you only have one line,why not just lose the Nortel system? You can reuse the wiring from the phone sets to the contoller as regular inside wire,and just plug in regular phones(and maybe put the Nortel phones and controller on EBay and make a few bucks off it!)

You can use the do not disturb function on your set. When used it will stop all ringing on your set(both line ring and intercom ring). To turn on DND, press feature 85, to turn the DND back off press feature #85.

If none of your voicemail feature codes(f980-f989) are active, then that means that the system doesn't recognize any nortel voicemail on the system.Which means that a) your system has a non-nortel voicemail system attached to it, b) theres no voicemail attached to the system at all or c) the voicemail is no longer functioning.

I think it's not fare, yoy tell us your going to fix our problem for fre, and when we send our problem you eant to charge for it. My problem is not a big problem , it<s just someone that played with my phone, so I don't think I need to pay for that!
