SOURCE: Toshiba laptop does not run, just amber light blinking

Did the computer ever work? Have you checked that your memory is properly seated? Remove the bottom plate that reveals the memory modules, pop both loose then back in. Try to restart. Is the battery fully seated?

SOURCE: My battery is not charging in my laptop, Great

If the laptop is about 2 years old (can be less) then I would say your battery is dead and needs replacement. That is very common and typical of all brands.

Replacment cost is sometimes covered under warrenty so check if you are still covered. A new battery is worth $60 to $160 depending on make model and age.If you are paying for it check around as the price can really differ from place to place.

What is the average battery life of a laptop

The average laptop battery life varies, typically ranging from 6 to 12 hours. However, actual performance depends on factors like usage, battery capacity, and laptop model. High-performance tasks consume more power, reducing battery life, while energy-efficient laptops may last longer on a single charge. For accurate information, refer to the laptop's specifications or user manual.

I use aa battery's in my camera but they only take 5 to 10 pics at a time.......is this normal or is something wrong like maybe a setting or something? what should i do to fix this?

Digital cameras in general use a lot of battery power; this one in particular is noted for short battery life. When it was new, this camera was supplied with a Lithium Ion battery for longer life; if you're using regular AAs, the battery life will be disappointing. Oh, and cheap batteries from the dollar store might not even work at all!

The most cost effective solution is probably high capacity NiMH rechargeable batteries; get a set of four so that you can have spares on hand. If even that isn't acceptable, look into getting the Lithium Ion one.

If you bought this camera used, the short battery life could easily be the reason the original owner got frustrated with it.

Gateway m-1625 battery won't hold any charge? Laptop/battery less than 2 years old... Thanks

Laptop batteries have a lifetime defined in charge cycles. The unfortunate thing is that running a battery down to 80% is the same as using it down to 10% as far as a charge cycle is concerned. The average battery life is in the neighborhood of 300-400 cycles. In short, time for a new battery. You may be able to wring some more life out of this one, though: try letting your laptop drain the battery COMPLETELY by leaving it on until it goes dead, then recharging fully.

Beeping

The beeping is as a result of low power. I found several articles on-line about this, and you are not alone. The best solution I saw was to use NiMH Rechargable batteries. They say it takes the life from 30 shots, to 30 days worth of shots if you get the correct rechargable AA Batteries.

If it is not power, then I am sorry, but I am of no help.

Many people complain about the life of batteries, and this beeping though, best to try it, and see.

Short battery life

Try running the battery down completely (0% so it turns off itself), and charging whilst the phone is completely off (I'd suggest leaving it overnight). Repeat this once or twice, then see if your battery life has improved. Also ensure that you havent left anything on that could be eating your battery up i.e. bluetooth, and contact your supplier if the problem persists, as you should be covered.

How can I increase battery life?

Transferring images from the camera to the computer requires a lot of battery power. It is recommended to use the AC adapter when transferring pictures to conserve battery life. If not using the AC adapter, make sure your batteries are fully charged and use the highest possible serial speed when connecting the camera to the computer. After transferring your images remember to shut off the camera, otherwise the camera will remain "awake" and will continue to wear down the batteries. The LCD display also uses much battery power and should be used sparingly when trying to conserve power usage. Battery life can be improved by using AA sized lithium batteries, rechargeable AA Ni-Cad batteries, or rechargeable AA Ni-MH batteries instead of AA sized alkaline batteries.
