Hi the plates and bowels should face into the center of the dishwasher, the spray arm spins at the top and bottom from and sprays outward, check that you are using the soap dispenser and not the rince agent cups, also check to make sure it will spring open , ifall that is good then you may have a bad wax motor or a loose conection. at the wax motor. let me know

WHERE CAN I PUT THE DETERGENT IN ON A JOST WP 5 A MINI DISHWASHER

Please don't type in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and is harder to read.

This is an unknown make in North America.

Normally the detergent fits into a compartment in the door. You can just add a tablet to the inside floor where the strainer is.

Correctly stating the model number as WP5A helps though!

Bosch dishwasher soap dispenser wont open or drain.

If your Bosch dishwasher's soap dispenser is not opening or draining properly, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:
  1. Clean the Dispenser Area: Start by inspecting the soap dispenser area for any debris, soap residue, or obstructions. Clean the dispenser thoroughly using a damp cloth and remove any buildup that may be preventing it from opening or closing properly.
  2. Check for Mechanical Issues: Examine the dispenser latch and mechanism for any signs of damage or wear. Ensure that the latch is engaging properly and that there are no loose or broken parts. If any components are damaged, they may need to be replaced.
  3. Test the Dispenser Solenoid: The soap dispenser may be controlled by a solenoid that releases it at the appropriate time during the wash cycle. Check if the solenoid is functioning correctly by performing a continuity test using a multimeter. If the solenoid is defective, it may need to be replaced.
  4. Verify Proper Detergent Usage: Ensure that you are using the correct type and amount of dishwasher detergent recommended for your Bosch dishwasher. Using the wrong detergent or excessive amounts can cause issues with dispenser operation. Consult your dishwasher's user manual for specific detergent recommendations.
  5. Check the Drainage System: A clogged drainage system can prevent the soap dispenser from draining properly. Inspect the drain hose, drain pump, and any filters for blockages. Clear any debris or obstructions you find, and ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or bent.
  6. Reset the Dishwasher: Try resetting your Bosch dishwasher by turning it off at the power source or unplugging it for a few minutes. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues and restore proper operation.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to consult the Bosch dishwasher's user manual for model-specific troubleshooting steps or contact Bosch customer support for further assistance. They can provide you with specific guidance tailored to your dishwasher model and help you diagnose and resolve the problem.

Bi-Metal

If the dishwasher dispenser doesn't work the bi-metal actuator might be burned out or defective. The bi-metal is a simple metal loop which acts as a latch for the dispenser door. As electricity is applied to the metal loop, the loop deforms and bends away from the latch, releasing it. If the bi-metal is burned out it won't deform or release the detergent door.

Main Control Board

The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher including the detergent dispenser. If the dispenser will not actuate the main control board might be defective. You should first check for more common parts. Many times control boards are replaced unnecessarily because the problem was not diagnosed properly.

I have just moved into a new house with what looks like quite an old ADG7540 dishwasher. The detergent dispenser doesn't open during the cycle - even though I have cleaned it. There also doesn't appear to...

Hi jo..... many of the old dishwashers did not have an upper arm. Regarding the detergent dispenser there are a couple of reasons why it no longer operates but rather than spend money on a repair I recommend that you simply purchase the 3 in 1 tablets and toss one right into the floor of the dishwasher and turn it on. That said, always run the hot tap water into the kitchen sink until it is as hot as it will get BEFORE turning on your dishwasher.

AND since this is an older model always rinse any food or debris from the dishes before placing them into the machine. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Our shu66c05uc Bosch dishwasher does not dispense the detergent.

Most likely the solenoid that operates the lever on the detergent door is faulty. Only solution is to replace the whole dispenser, unfortunately. It is possible that the controller is not activating the dispenser but less likely.

Do not know how to add dishwashing liquid to machine

Fill your clean, dry dispenser cup with detergent and close it.The water streams through the closed dispenser and comes out at the bottom of the dispenser. Make sure you have 120 deg f water coming to the dishdrawer and never put anything in that dishwasher that is to tall or comes up above the drawer when you start the dishwasher it has a lid that comes down and if it does not seal you will get an f1 code and it will require a tech.
