Help! Projection snowscreening!

It worked fine last night... tonight it will not even present a clear "Panasonic" blue on Yellow screen but gives colored snow that fades through yellowish, greenish, dark, light, white and grey etc. with apparent randomness. It is not a bulb... I had a spare and put that in and it still does the same thing. It is not an external input, I have tested each and even the projector with no inputs connected, presents the same problem.

sounds like bad cables, or wrong setting on projector you may have it set to compoent instead of composite,, you don't tell how you are hooking it up. (what type of cables you are using)

may be a heat problem: check the psu unit for components getting too hot...use a laser thermometer and keep you fingers away from the psu ! other possible problem may be a bad capacitor or the thermal protection before the psu..but this would be a very uncommon problem.

I have a Panasonic pt-44Lcx65 tv and it has this blue snowflake or blue star looking stuff all over the screen area and now within the last 2 weeks or so it developed this yellow or green large circle area...

Is the tv new? On which input is set your tv? Change some cables they are connected to your tv (like the HDMI) and see if you can get a clear image.

Have a qualified repair shop come have a look and give you an estimate. If it's the optical block it's probably not worth repair.

I have a Panasonic HDTV 1080i, We started to experience a yellow and blue arc at the bottom of the screen about a month ago. Last night the picture went black. Only the sound is left. What happened?

The convergence IC's are definitely bad. This is a big repair involving taking out the main board and soldering in two new IC's. They are not plug-in components and you would need a professional to do this job.

your convergence IVs need to be replaced. Its an easy repair if you can solder. you can get the two ICs you need at the following link. they also provide free installation instructions and free on line tech support while youre doing the repair. You need two ICs they are numbers STK392-110. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. I am one of servicemanuals support techs and board rebuilder.

Screen color

Sounds like a Cable problem or what is going through your tuner. Since the other inputs are good, because when you have a convergence problem it will effect all inputs. So if you have another cable box to try, do it first and then you can start eliminating things.
