You might have a broken valve. You'll need to pull the head apart. But make sure replacement parts are available first. Does this unit have an unloader valve on it ? That could also be your problem. You probably should check this first

My bostitch 6 gal compressor keeps running , and running , even goes into a higherpitch motor noise. can i check something ? or clean something to fix it ?

is it building up any pressure on the gauge
if the pressure recorded is around 40 psi or less , replace the failed poppet/reed valves in the compressor head
if it goes to 100 psi then replace the automatic controller for the motor

I have the pro source air compressor, 10 gallon, 2 HP brand new. It will not build up any pressure what so ever! Tried everything... found no leaks, sprayed it down with soap and water.. but in the top...

First if it's brand new I'd take it back to where you bought it. They have to sell you a product that works and anything you do to it will either void their responsibility or the company warranty. That said; if you have no leaks and assuming the hole you're talking about is the input side for the air filter and not the output side of the pump that should have a tube running into the tank stand pipe, it sounds like you may have one or more broken reed valves or bad ring(s) on the piston. Oil-less air pumps have one ring or wiper that does fail, oil-splash pumps have pistons like small engines with compression rings and an oil wiper. If they are run without oil the damage can be catastrophic. Not hard to fix but if you break the paint on the head bolts you void any warranty you have on the unit.

Electric compressor will not start up im getting power thru the switch but comp.doesnt attempt to start.

your pressure switch is defective that controls the cycling of the motor, its fed air pressure off the tank line and opens and closes contacts to start and stop the motor to build air pressure when needed

Craftsman 1 gallon direct drive oil filled wont build air pressure

It sounds like you may have a broken reed on the diaphragm plate. This is located at the block. Remove the cover, and look for a cast metal assembly with fins. It will be attached to the side.

Does not eject air

It sounds like your pressure regulator is not working properly or it is not adjusted correctly.

If you need more help, post a comment.

Husky comp on 1st start builds up 75 lbs and wont restart

Check the reset button on the motor to see if it tripped. The motor may be overheating. Some motors have an internal breaker and they have to cool off before they restart. Also check the pressure switch. Move the switch back and forth ( on and off ) and listen for a click. If it doesn't click with low to no air pressure then the switch is bad.
