Stereo installment 2000 ford mustang

You probably could but your gonna spend ALOT of money,what I would do is un install the cd player and check the wires.Undo everything you did back to the way it was before. Sounds to me like you have crossed wired or grounded something. If this fixes your problem take it to a car stereo place that installs radios and pay them to install your CD player.

Did you use a wire harness specific to your vehicle year and model? Make sure you get the right harness, depending on what factory system came with the car(base or mach460 sound systems), If your speakers were working prior to replacing the radio, then there's a possibility that the harness may not be compatible. also, the car may be equipped with a factory amp(mach460 systems). This should help you wire up your new stereo. 97 Ranger stereo wiring diagram. They do make a plug in harness for your truck. Metra part number 70-5600.

Okay it is very simple but if you don't know what your doing you should google this info "1999 ford mustang stereo wiring diagram" and something should pop up and you can usually print it out or download usually I print them out.

You wll need a stereo installation adapter kit. This will change the dash opening to the size you need, oftentimes by replacing an entire dash panel for a factory look.

Check at stereo sales/install place, or most auto parts stores have them now, and ask for adapter for wiring & plate for mounting in what ever vehicle you decide. It makes things a lot neater, & easier. Take player in with you to make sure, mounting plate is correct.

check your amplifier mustang with 460 mach stereo have aplifiers in the trunk behind or it may be a fuse

have you checked to see if the parts store lists a knock sensor for your vehicle?
