Update your windows then try to install the game again.


To update windows, click start menu button, all programs, then choose windows update. Download and install all important updates.

Hi,what operating system are you running?..windows xp,vista,etc

SOURCE: My windows cannot open exefile and I cannot install spybotsd162.

This is possible if the Windows installer in corrupte you can try below steps -

Install Issues.

1. check the task manager for msiexec.exe processes and cancel all of them.
2. attempt to download and install MSICUU2.exe from the
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads.
3. If install is not successful on a Non-SP2 Windows XP system perform the
following:
a. search for and rename the files MSI.DLL, MSIHND.DLL, and MSIEXEC.EXE from
the %system
root%\system32 folder.
b. go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and download either the Windows
Installer 2.0 or 3.0
or 3.1 if this is pre-SP2 Windows XP.
4. If the install is not successful on Windows XP with SP2 try reinstalling Windows
XP SP2 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads Keywords: SP2 and Professionals or
find the above listed files and reinstall Windows Installer v3.1
5. then attempt to reinstall the software in question
or do clean boot and try to install the software

1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, and then click OK.
2. The System Configuration Utility dialog box is displayed

1. In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click the General tab, and then click Selective Startup.
2. Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box. Verify that Load System Services and Use Original BOOT.INI are checked.
3. Click the Services tab.
4. Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.
5. Click Disable All, and then click OK.
6. When you are prompted, click Restart to restart the computer
