If you are with a lexmark printer switch to windows xp or just try to buy another printer... If you are using this x4270 printer probably it is famous for faxing problems so probably you must not try to fax...Try lexexpress if you are in warranty
Lexmark provides a download fix for this problem, but it takes a long time to load, say several hours. I just left the computer running and went to bed. Vista goes to sleep on its own. Printer is working fine, except for color, which I shut off a long time ago. Cosmo

Found the vista driver but won't install an error message says cannot open file lxbmlpa.chm
it is loaded and sees the printer but cannot copy scan or fax does not see loaded documnets

My printer will only print the first page of any multiple page project. I have tried to reset the printer to include all pages selected, but to no avail. Please help!!!!
my printer will print single pages but I cant even get my scanner page to come up so scanning is out. Oh scanner program does apear on my hard drive but status reads unavailable.
